Most of our courses are narrated. You can begin our narrated courses from phone, tablet or computer. No special apps are needed and your 24/7 access is instantaneous. Simply, click the ‘My Courses’ tab and the button labeled ‘Open.’
Launch your first chapter or course to begin. Our instructor begin talking you through each topic, drawing from readily-applied; real-world examples from his over 35+ years of practicing in real estate. The course is self-paced, allowing you to print notes, review previous material, and (if applicable) take and re-take quizzes as often as you like throughout the access period.
When life calls you away to take a phone call, pick up the kids, or go on vacation, you have the luxury to stop-and-go whenever please. Simply click ‘exit’ and the program saves your place. If required by your State, the course includes any required course surveys / tests.
The process of issuing course credit / certificates differs from State-to-State. In States like Hawaii, REMI will send you an email to let you know your completion has been submitted to the State usually within 1-3 business days (allow 8 to be safe). In each State students are each responsible for independently confirming they have completed the requirements and that the State has everything they need for processing (fees, paperwork, course completions, all steps completed). Instead of REMI submitting completions to the State, some States (ex: Iowa and Washington) ask that students print and save their own certificates in case of audit.
If you have any questions about our process, feel free to call us: (808) 230-8200
Confirm with your State licensing authority to confirm details and to check for updates on procedures or education requirements.

Our courses are phone / tablet compatible. If you need help enabling the presentation window to open -- see below.
If you do not see the presentation, check that pop-ups are enabled on your device. For example, if you using Safari, you can go to the gray Settings icon, then scroll to Safari, and then scroll down to Block Pop-ups to be sure that the setting is gray / inactive. If your setting is green, it means pop-ups are blocked and the presentation cannot launch in a new window.
If you are using Chrome, look for 3 dots. Click those dots and you should be able to click "Settings" and then "Content Settings" and look for an item labeled "Block Pop-ups." If your setting says 'On' it means pop-ups are blocked and the presentation cannot launch in a new window.
Steps can vary based on the device and version of software you are using.

*Iowa students: Pre-licensing courses in Iowa have a strict 4 month expiration date per the Iowa College Aid dept. Iowa CE courses have a strict 6 month expiration date from date of purchase.

REMI's courses do not require any special software or custom apps. You can complete the courses just by logging into our homepage on major web browsers including Chrome, Safari, Firefox.
We strongly recommend keeping your computer and device software updated including security and anti-virus programs. Likewise, keep all browsers updated with regard to operating system updates, security updates, and anti-virus software. Like most websites, we do not anticipate any problems, but even so, it is best to be prepared..
The course is accessible 24/7 from computer, phone or tablet. Taking breaks is easy. Close out the window, and the system will save your place for when you return.
You can stop and go as you please for minutes or hours at a time. Closing the window saves your place so that you can pick up where you left off the next time you login.
Since sessions can time out due to inactivity, we do not recommend leaving the presentation window open while you are gone.
Most licensing authorities require students invest at least 50 min of studying for every credit hour received. All of our courses are narrated. The audio provides content and is part of the tracking mechanism by which you are able to meet the State's time requirement.
(This mechanism is adjusted in rare cases a course is marked as unnarrated / read-only).
We do not provide refunds for our online products. If there is an issue with one of your courses, please let us know so that we can work with you to ensure your success.

There are multiple reasons you may not hear audio on our narrated courses. Some ideas of things to look for are below:
Make sure your device is not on silent / vibrate mode,
Ensure your volume is turned up and not on mute.
Ensure the audio is not piping through bluetooth / headset. On rare occasion, a device will think it is still connected to a headset even when it is not -- so try reconnecting/disconnecting the headset to see if that's the case.
Sometimes a quick fix is to see if the issue persists when trying a different browser or device.
*Please note that in rare instances, some materials and State-specific courses are read-only and are not narrated. These are often noted in the title of the course or by the nature of the item being a document such as a PDF.
We'll be happy to help with additional questions. Email us through the 'Contact Us' tab or call us at (808) 230-8200

Hawaii licensees must be aware that AHEAD of sign-up:
Licensees are responsible for knowing the Hawaii Administrative Rules related to Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons (HAR Title 16, Section 99). A copy of HAR 16-99 from the State's website is found below. This information is subject to change without notice. Licensees are responsible for checking for updates.

Hawaii Administrative Rules (§16-99-115) require licensees provide continuing education providers with picture identification and a current real estate pocket card or notification of licensed status from the commission. Licensees are responsible for submitting these items to REMI via email or postal mail prior to beginning a course for credit. Failure to do so may impact the ability to receive credit for the course.
The DCCA (licensing branch) has rules about taking duplicate elective courses. These rules are subject to change without notice. At the time of this writing, licensees may receive credit for duplicate course titles, but not in back-to-back bienniums. If you have taken a course in the most recent biennium, you will want to choose different titles this biennium. Courses with the same title but taken from different schools are not considered duplicates. Please contact the real estate commission for questions.
If you are licensed in another State and wish to become licensed in Hawaii, this information is for you. At the time of this writing the Hawaii Real Estate Commission's website indicates the following:
We are not reciprocal with any other State, however, a salesperson may qualify for an equivalency to the pre-license education requirement and/or the equivalency to the Uniform Examination.
Please review the real estate Salesperson’s Flowchart and General Information Sheet for general steps on becoming a Hawaii licensed real estate salesperson on active status.
Individuals with a current and unencumbered real estate salesperson’s license in another state may become a Hawaii real estate broker with the approval of the proper applications (see the real estate Broker Flowchart for additional information)."
